Dear Diary
I had a supper with my family as usual, and I was quite chirpy, since it was my weekend to command the television. As soon as we sat down, we had a phone call from my grandpa, and mom answered it. According to my grandpa, China is discussed on TV, so we turned on it. Normally our rule is not to watch TV during supper, and I am only allowed to see TV an hour per weekday. The TV was about in Beijing, Tiananmen Square, the protesters are trying to force the government to stop corruption and the army has surrounded. However I thought they were all stupid pictures and it was so boring, but mom and dad were staring at it. Furthermore dad said that China experts are predicting civil war in Beijing. I didn't understand why they were so serious.

Dear diary
On Sunday morning, I woke up early to watch music video. I was the only one who got up at the time. I was so ready for having solitary quality time. However it was Tiananmen Square again, and it seemed worse than yesterday. It was full of confusion of people, buses and barricade. In the darkness, people running in all directions, fleeing waves. There were gunfire and a lot of bodies hit ground. Panicked screaming rose up, more real than any movie I had ever seen. I yelled to call mom and dad, because it was too horrible and terrifying. Suddenly I came to worry about Chun-mei, but my dad reassumed me that Yangzhou is fa away from Beijing. It was the first time I called her name without anger.

Dear diary
Before we had a supper, Megan told mom not to put chicken in her meal. The reason was that meat has cholesterol and it makes her fat. Then dad said genes will decide on your size, not the meat. But I didn't know what the genes is, so Megan explained me complicatedly, so I asked dad again. They told me that the genes are from my parents, so I realized my genes come from the two people I have never met. OMG, I am going to be ugly!
